“The smartest insights come when numbers and context speak the same language.”
Trym leads PlayIQ's football intelligence efforts commercially, bridging the gap between complex data and real-world decision-making for clubs across Norway and internationally. With over 10 years of experience in coaching, player development, and video analysis, Trym has developed a deep understanding of how elite clubs use data to gain a competitive edge. His master's thesis examined how Europe's most innovative clubs apply data-driven recruitment strategies — and how similar approaches can be implemented by clubs with limited resources. At PlayIQ, he works on developing football intelligence models, producing reports and dashboards, and helping clubs translate insight into action. He also writes regularly on football data and analytics in his Substack blog, Expected Insights.
