What is PlayIQ?
PlayIQ is a football intelligence platform for ambitious clubs. It transforms ordinary match video into objective analysis of time and space - measuring how players and teams create, control, exploit and deny space, and revealing both the game that was played and the game that could have been.
What does a club need to get started?
Ordinary match video and a browser - nothing else. No sensors, no extra hardware, no installation. Broadcast or tactical-angle footage that clubs already record every week is enough, and a club account is usually up and running within hours.
Which clubs is PlayIQ for?
Clubs at every level - from grassroots and semi-professional to professional. The platform is built for sporting directors, coaches and analysts who want objective answers about their football, whatever the budget. SK Brann uses PlayIQ as part of its football analysis and recruitment processes.
How is PlayIQ different from event-data platforms?
Event data records what happened on the ball - passes, shots, tackles. PlayIQ goes beyond event data: using proprietary tracking, AI and football models, it measures time and space for all players, on and off the ball. That includes the opportunities that were never taken - the runner who was never found, the gap that stood open, the switch that was on.
What is Edge AI?
Edge AI is the AI assistant inside PlayIQ Edge - your club's own football AI. Ask in plain language (“How many transitions did we have in our last match?”, “What should training focus on this week?”) and get answers grounded only in your club's own data.
What can clubs use PlayIQ for?

Can PlayIQ help with recruitment?
Yes. PlayIQ identifies players whose behaviours and movement patterns fit your football, and uncovers players whose underlying performances are stronger than traditional statistics suggest. It provides additional evidence alongside scouting and football expertise - it does not replace them.
Does PlayIQ replace coaches or analysts?
No. PlayIQ provides objective information; interpretation and decisions remain with the coaching staff. The platform is built to support football people, not replace them.
Which languages does PlayIQ support?
PlayIQ Edge is available in English, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and German.
